March Feeling Opinionated-You Should Be Worried: Trump's Pursuit of A Third Term is Happening

It was referenced on the campaign trail. It was joked about in interviews. It has been whispered about in republican circles since 2016. Except now, it seems the plan is truly set in motion: Trump is seriously considering running for a third term.
In an interview with NBC yesterday, when speaking about a third term, Trump proclaimed, "A lot of people want me to do it. But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration..." When further pressed on the issue, Trump clarified, stating, "I’m not joking....There are methods which you could do it." This is just one comment in a long line of statements from the President, his allies, and the utterly incompetent and politically irrelevant Steve Bannon, who is putting forth plans for Trump 2028 to become a reality.

You might be asking yourself, "Isn't that impossible?" and you would be right if this was a normal year and not a part of the most cursed timeline in recent history. The 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951 after President Roosevelt served four consecutive terms in office, was introduced as a way to create term limits for the leader of the 'free' world. A singular person can only serve two terms-- consecutive or not-- in the White House.
Usually, I would say not to take Trump's comments seriously and that it will never happen due to the protections put in place. However, something has shifted this time.
Trump 1.0 was filled with controversy and threats, but the difference was his cabinet and the people around him. They defended him through an immense amount of turmoil, but when it got too much, they left, resigned, or were fired. Most of his staff were loyal to the Constitution, not the megalomaniac in the Oval Office.
Trump 2.0? Loyalists through and through. I could not point out one person in Trump's cabinet that I truthfully believe would stand up for the United States Constitution if Trump decided one day to simply throw it out. And I wouldn't put that idea past him.

As for Congress, the same. I think the Republicans are shivering in their cowboy hats and ruby boots at the thought of a primary challenger funded by Elon Musk, which would certainly happen if anyone were to defy the plans of King Musk and his loyal servant Trump. We have already seen threats of this-- many times-- so if a constituional ammendment were to come forth, it is hard to see anyone who would put the American citizen over his bought and paid for majesty.
I don't think I have to mention the legal system because even if all of the courts leading up to the Supreme remain steadfast in their commitment to the Constitution, we can not rely on the Trump-picked justices who feel they are indebted to him as long as they live to save us.
You should be worried. When Trump says something he plans to do, believe him. We are in a constitutional crisis, and if we don't fix it, we very well may face a Trump 3.0 in our future (if we survive this one).
